Funeral Services honoring the life of Milton "Mickey" Lacefield, Jr. will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Tom Brown. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana.
Milton "Mickey" Lacefield, Jr. was born November 20, 1946 in Salina, Kansas to Milton Lacefield, Sr. and Kathleen Lance Lacefield and passed away peacefully Monday, February 7, 2022 in Bonham, Texas.
Mickey proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. He earned a Master of Arts in student personnel in higher education and was a guidance counselor at Kilgore College. Mickey loved to travel and enjoy the great outdoors, especially duck and deer hunting. He always looked forward to annual family reunions and spending time with his beloved family.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Betty Lacefield; daughters, Kristen Lacefield and Jennifer Lacefield; sisters, Rosalie Chalaire, Grace Campbell; former spouse and mother of his daughters, Sheron Lacefield; aunt, Lucille Lance; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
