Milton Ford Pearce went to be with the Lord at the age of 102 on August 7, 2025.

Milton was the most wonderful father and ‘Big Daddy’ to his grands & great grands. A true example of the Christian life well lived; his caring, loving and methodical nature was cherished and admired by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou and George F. Pearce, his first wife Mary Haynes Pearce and 2nd wife Betty Ragsdale Pearce; brothers George, David and Samford Pearce.

Milton is survived by sons Michael(Noelle), Gary(Carolyn), and daughter Diane Walker. Grandchildren: Kelly(H.R.) Payne, Kevin(Torie) Pearce, Peyton Paulette, Ashley(Kyle) Cathcart, Karen(Hollis) Grisham, Troy, Pam & Chris Walker. Great granddaughters Presley(Blaise Bentsen) Payne, Blakely Pearce, Kylie Walker. Great grandsons: Harper & Bowen Payne, Brody Pearce, Colby & Garrett Cathcart, Carter & Brady Grisham.

Milton was born in Gilliam, La on March 13, 1923 and had lived in Shreveport since 1948. He served in the 20th Armored Division of the Army for 3 years during World War II, with time spent in the European arena.

After graduating from University of Texas with a Business Degree in 1948, he worked for Arkansas Fuel Oil, W.C. O’Ferrell Co., and retired as President of Witt Oil Production after 38 years employment.

He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, serving on several boards at different times and was an usher for over 50 years. He was a member of South Shreveport Lions Club, Institute of Management Accountants and Broadmoor Golf Club at Querbes, where he played golf until the age of 99.

Milton gave his life to his family and Christ, and his body to Science.

A celebration of life service will be officiated by Rev. Wybra Price on September 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
