A celebration of life for Milton H. “Bill” Cook, Jr. will be held at Brushwood Methodist Church in Dubberly, Louisiana, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Milton. was born on November 26, 1940, in La Marque, Texas, and passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by loved ones.
Bill honorably served his country for 30 years in the United States Navy, retiring with pride and distinction. After his military service, he pursued a new chapter in life by studying to become an RV technician and later worked as a manager at Cotton’s Chicken Restaurant.
A man of many interests, Bill found joy in the great outdoors—fishing, hunting, and camping with his beloved Casita trailer. He also enjoyed crocheting, photography, and barbecuing for family and friends, always finding ways to blend creativity with comfort.
Bill was a Godly man who cherished his family and friendships deeply. He was known for his generous heart, humble spirit, and readiness to lend a helping hand—never hesitating to give someone “the shirt off his back.”
He is preceded in death by: His parents, Milton Cook Sr. and Maxine Cook
He is also survived by: His loving wife, Susan Cook of Sibley. Daughters: Tiffany Cook of Sibley and Lisa Garrison of Minden. Sister: Linda Kaye Cook of Georgia. Grandchildren: Julie Garrison, Daniel Garrison, Megan Jolly, Faith Garrison, and Kayla Cook. Great-grandchildren: Hunter Jolly, Grace Jolly, Anna Lisa, Lillian Jolly, and Melody Garrison. Extended family: Jim Holt of Houston, Texas, and Ivan Kopecky of Austin, Texas.
Bill’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and faith. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Interment service will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetry in Keithville Louisiana La at a later date.
