Mildred Elaine Wilcox

Plain Dealing, LA - Graveside services for Mildred Elaine Wilcox, age 80 will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery in Ida, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Ricky Jeane, Rev. Dewey Wolfe and Rev. Wendy McGee. Mrs. Wilcox was born August 24, 1939 in Shreveport, LA to Alex and Ruby Folk Blanchard and passed away on April 20, 2020 at Willis Knighton Medical Center, Bossier City, LA. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of the Vivian United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Wilcox was a wonderful wife, mama and mamaw. She loved to quilt, sew and was a perfect seamstress, crochet and cook for her family whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Ruby Blanchard. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 65 years, Jacky R. Wilcox of Plain Dealing; three sons, Michael "Pete" Wilcox and wife, Helen of Athens, TX, Dale Wilcox of Mira, LA and Don Wilcox of Mira, LA; four daughters, Jackie Ethredge and husband, Bill of Vivian, LA; Virginia "Jenny" Cash and husband, Ronnie of Shreveport, LA, Cherie Multhaupt and husband, Billy of Vivian, LA, and Joann Berry of Gilmer, TX. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Miller of Sulphur, LA, 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Honoring Mrs. Wilcox as pallbearers will be her sons, Michael, Dale and Don; sons-in-law, Bill, Ronnie and Billy.
