CAMPTI, LA - Funeral services for Mildred Eolian Roberts, 92, of Campti, Louisiana, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Davis Springs Southern Methodist Church in Fairview. Officiating will be Bro. Olan McLaren of Davis Springs. Interment will follow at Coulee Bethel Cemetery in Campti. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, April 22, and Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until service time.
Mrs. Roberts was born July 10, 1926 in Jonesville, Louisiana and passed away April 18, 2019 at her home. She and her husband Palmer Roberts Sr. owned and operated Roberts' Fish Market in Campti for many years. She loved her family dearly, especially the babies, and her church. She enjoyed bowling and singing, and had a beautiful voice.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Roberts, Sr.; two children, Palmer Roberts Jr. and Molly Roberts Emerson; her mother Paralee Gencie Black; grandchildren, Russell Ray Roberts, Faith Angel Crow,
Will Roberts and Holly Roberts; brothers Donnie, Ronnie, Sonny, and Glen Black; and son-in-law Jack Burnett.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Mildred Crow and husband Billy of Fairview; Joyce Burnett of Fairview; Buddy Roberts and wife Sherry of Fairview; Mary Mahloch and husband Jeff of Campti; Peggy Thomas and husband Jimmy of Campti; Juanita Longino and husband David of Coushatta; twenty-six grandchildren, sixty-six great grandchildren, and twenty-three great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Cleo Marie Walker.
Honoring Mrs. Roberts as pallbearers will be Ryan Roberts, Ethan Roberts, Luke Mahloch, Josh Longino, Jared Longino, Shane Hubbard, Nick Cole, Kevin Crow, and Anthony Bridges. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren.
