HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Mildred Miller, 91, at Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Lisbon, LA on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Sellers, officiating. Interment followed at Rocky Springs Cemetery. The family received friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Miller was born September 12, 1925 in El Dorado, AR to Harem Edward and Atta Marie Splitoff Gray. She entered into rest Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Homer, LA following an illness.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Felton Miller; a son, James Felton Miller; a grandson, Chad Goode; a great granddaughter, Bre\'anna Miller; 3 brothers, Hal Gray, Cecil Gray and Thomas Gray; and 2 sisters, Ruby Lofton and Vera Jane Crumpler.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Johnny and wife Ava Miller of Dubach, LA, Donny Ray Miller and wife Janis of Quitman, LA and Billy Wayne Miller and wife Patricia of Dubach, LA; special child, Gary Goode of Lisbon, LA; special nephew, Larry Haynes of Monroe, LA; a sister, Violet Haynes of Monroe, LA; 12 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Gary Goode, Bobby Miller, Allen Miller, Brian Miller, Mason Miller, Josh Miller and Hunter Brumbley.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Miller, her family suggests the Rocky Springs Baptist Church, 423 Rocky Springs Road, Lisbon, LA 71040.
