Mildred Ann Ebarb Heard

A memorial service for Mildred Ann Ebarb Heard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date. Officiating the service will be Monsignor Rothell Price.

Mildred was born on January 23, 1941 to Martin and Inez Ebarb in Zwolle, Louisiana and passed away September 21, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was married to her beloved husband, Jim Heard, for 57 years. She was a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who worked faithfully for Dr. Clarence Teagle for more than 30 years. A devout Catholic, her faith was an important part of her life. Above all, she cherished her family and took great joy in loving and spoiling her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.

She is preceded in death by parents; husband, James “Jim” Heard; brothers, Martin Ebarb, Jr., David Ebarb, Bib Ebarb, Pat Ebarb, Michael Ebarb and Anthony Roderick Ebarb; sisters, June Lopez, Theresa Malmay, Eunice Ebarb, Joyce Santos, Laverne Jones, Dolores Springer, Peggy Craig and Shelly Ebarb. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lonnie Heard and Chris Heard; granddaughter, Madison Heard; grandson, Wyatt Heard; great-granddaughter, Langlea Morgan; brothers, Jim Ebarb, Frank Ebarb, Kenneth Ebarb, Anthony Ebarb and Greg Ebarb and sisters, Doris Leone, Sheila Y’Barbo, Marilyn Shoemaker, Brenda Hall, Cindi King, Marsha Anderson and Kimberly Procell.
