Funeral services celebrating the life of Mike "Moose" Festavan, age 73 will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Vivian United Methodist Church with Dr. R L Bethley, assisted by Bro. Mark Landers. Interment will follow in the Vivian Cemetery, Vivian, LA. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mike was born on August 6, 1948 to James Willis Festavan and Barbara Robertson Festavan and passed away on November 22, 2021 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, Bossier after a brief illness. He was a construction pipefitter by trade and after retiring from pipefitting, Mike worked for the Caddo Parish Waste Management for several years. He was a member of the Vivian United Methodist Church, loved to hunt, fish and was an avid LSU fan, so much so that he wanted to know what time the game came on Saturday night.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory is wife of 43 years, Jan Moore Festavan of Vivian, LA; son, Lane Festavan and wife, Candice and daughter, Amy Deschler and husband, Alex all of Vivian, LA. He is also survived by his four precious grandchildren, Daley and Dirk Deschler and Finley and Farren Festavan; three brothers, Ronnie Festavan and wife, Edie, Ray Festavan and wife, Julie and Gary Festavan and wife, Cheryl all of Vivian, LA
Honoring Mike as pallbearers will be Ronnie Festavan, Dennis Moore, David Byerley, Brent Mason, Brent Lofton and Sam Curry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Festavan, Gary Festavan, Jimmy Woods and Ronnie Hall.
