Mickey Wayne Brown

February 12, 1952 — March 15, 2023

Mickey Wayne Brown

Mickey Wayne Brown, 71, entered eternal rest on March 15, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a brief illness.  A celebration of life service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana, on April 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Reverend Sione T’utta will be officiating.

Mickey was born on February 12, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana. He spent most of his early years in Minden, Louisiana, where he graduated from Springhill High School. Mickey established Coffee Specialty Wholesale in 1989. His love for his customers, his endless repertoire of jokes, his kind heart, and his laughter are the parts of him we miss the most. He never met a stranger and truly enjoyed the fellowship of his friends and customers. Mickey was a gifted musician who played piano by ear, and he shared it with others by playing in local churches and as part of a band. Mickey particularly loved playing music with his friends and spending time with them during weekly lunches.

Mickey is preceded in death by his parents, Dathene and Lloyd Brown. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Diane Mathis Brown; stepchildren, Ellie Jo Malki (Faris), Lauren Logue, and Benjamin Logue; grandchildren, Eli Malki, Mary Logue Malki, Jeremiah Malki, Alston Logue, and Lylah Grace Livingston; and a large extended family of aunts and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Adair, Ed Adair, Ronald Day, Larry Freeman, Randy Henson, Scott Kelly, David King, Robert McMillon, Faris Malki, Joe Raley, Matt Raley, and Dan Ursery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, 201 John Wesley Blvd, Bossier City, Louisiana 71112.
