Michael Trichell

A long time ago... (September 4, 1969) in a galaxy far, far away... (Bastrop, Louisiana) Episode I: Michael Niel Trichell Though troubled in his youth, this padawan found his passion in playing guitar. He lived and breathed music and found a certain peace. Martial arts, as well as becoming an avid chess and motorcycle enthusiast played a huge role in his life and character. These things that brought him solace would develop into skills that brought many together over centuries throughout space and time. He carried inspirations from many in the vein of Bruce Lee, Bobby Fischer, innumerable guitar heroes, and the teachings of his Heavenly Father. He made longtime friends. In the midst of these things, there was a moment when time stopped. The day he saw the love of his life, Jennifer (a long time ago... 1986). Younglings, as they were, formed an instant connection. And from there it went. His most proud achievement in life was marrying her. Jennifer supported him through all battles, bikes, and bands. Their bond was unbreakable. She lovingly supported him with every bit of her to their very last days together. And he would go to the ends of the earth for her. There and back again. A love seldom seen. A romance for the ages. Undying and ever growing. The force was strong with this one. We found his lack of faith unwavering. He was a natural born teacher. The younglings flocked to him as well as all those in search of guidance across the galaxy. A stranger to no one, Jedi and Sith alike. He invoked his use of the force forever for good and resilience. He touched many people both willingly and unwillingly, but his most proud achievement in life was marrying his wife. And out of that love: his very own younglings. Tumultuous and painstaking as younglings may be, he loved with a love that was more than love. He and his Jennifer, Kayla, and Emily. This is corny because he was. Extremely. A corn dog personified. He passed on May 20th, 2021, a mere two months after his dear mother, Janet. They stuck by each other through their many ups and downs and are both delighted in their reunion. He had the best stepfather, Dennis. Michael loved him like the dad he always wanted. His loving sister Erin and her husband, Ray, are ever prevalent. The connection between he and his sister was sacred and enduring. They were often each other's strength, especially as time wore on. Her own younglings became his compatriots. His pride and joy came connecting to the youngling in himself, and to his nephews Xander and Odin. Expressing and connecting through the child in his heart. He also had a brother, Alan. Although their relationship was rocky, he loved and cared a great deal for his little brother. And of course, there was his other love. Best Buy is absolutely devastated by the loss of their #1 illegitimate salesman. He did not work there, but make many sales, he did. This scruffy-looking nerf herder leaves many in his wake. We all felt a great disturbance in the force when he departed. He had the best of times, he had the worst of times, and so many people to share in his ages of wisdom and foolishness. He will be sorely missed, and many pieces of him live on inside the hearts of his family and many friends. The strength of his character is easily recalled, and his presence lingers in stories of him young and old, and it's as if he is with us again. Remember you may find him upon your own departure, and he will welcome you to that same old place that you laughed about. He will be waiting on the corner of Coffee Corner and Java Junction to see you again. We are celebrating Mike at 2 o'clock on Saturday, May 29th, 2021, 2:00 - until at Northwoods Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 5924 North Market St. Shreveport, LA 71107.
