Funeral services for Michael W. Shirey will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Whispering Pines Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Mike Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior service. Michael was born January 4, 1957 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest March 6, 2021 in Minden, Louisiana. Michael loved golfing and football. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lou Shirey and brothers, Dale and James Shirey. He is survived by his wife Debbie Byrd Shirey; son, Michael L. Milligan; sister, Martha Lynn and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Liam Milligan and Easton Luther; nieces, Kim Morrow and Stephanie Lynn and numerous great nieces and nephews.
