Michael Neil

Michael Caesar Neil, 69, of Grand Cane, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2021, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Michael was born on October 9, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Julius Caesar Neil and Clara Lucille Rainer Neil. To know Mike was to know his love for the Lord, his family, and especially his grandboys, his love for horses, and his love for hunting with his friends and family. He was a true cowboy through and through. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and his oilfield family. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Clara Neil; sister, Judy Alexander. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cathy Permenter Neil of Grand Cane, LA; daughters, Brittani Lynn Neil of Grand Cane, LA and Lacey Neil Anthony and husband Thomas of Grand Cane, LA; sister, Janice William-Gill of Mountain View, AR; special nephew, Michael-Austin T. Williams; brother-in-law, David Permenter and wife Tammy; sisters-in-law, Vicky Yeglic and husband Lenny and Chris Plymale and Steve; grandchildren, Trace Carter, Conner Anthony, and Reid Anthony; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Memorial Services Honoring Michael will be held at a later date. "Oh, the last goodbyes are the hardest ones to say, and this is where the cowboy rides away."
