Michael H. Christy

Michael (Mike) Harry Christy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at his home near Vivian, Louisiana at the age of 71. Mike is survived by his wife, Wanda Browning Christy; his children, Carrie Christy, William Christy; Kimberly (Jonathan) Smith, and Taylor Ryan; step-children, Michael (Heather) Charlton and Catherine (Terry) Arwood; grandchildren, Elias DeLeon, Maria (Josh) Bradford, Kierra Harper, Briana Harper, Faith Harley, Skylar Harley, Matthew Christy, Autumn Smith, Gavin Smith; and sisters Edith Barge and Lou Ann (John) Sims. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Emerick Christy, mother, Annie Lou Rance, and stepfather, Wesley Rance. Mike was born on December 5, 1949 in Chico, California. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1968 to 1976. He was a beloved husband and father. Mike came to know the Lord several years ago and was a member of Mansfield Road Baptist Church. Services will be held in Shreveport, Louisiana at Kilpatrick's Rose Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with Rev. Waymon Beshea officiating. Burial pending at Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, February 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside branch under the direction of Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, LA.
