Funeral services for Merlin Fayard Jr. will begin at 11:00am Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Marksville. Burial will take place at the St. Martin of Tours Cemetery in Hessmer.

Merlin Fayard Jr. age 88 passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Those left to cherish his memory are his 4 daughters Dehedra Ramagasse (Roy) of Hessmer, Nina Blanchard of Monroe, Melinda Seeser (Jimmie) of Luling La. and Vicky Pierce of Mississippi. One son Jerome Fayard. Also survived by 16 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rena Gauthier Fayard;  daughter, Chandell Fayard;  mother and father, Frank & Lucille Chereramie Rivet; brother, Leroy Rivet; and his Birth Father, Merlin Fayard Sr.

A Visitation  will begin Friday July 29, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral home in Marksville from 5:00pm-10pm and resume on Saturday morning at 8:00am until time of services.

Those Honored to serve as Pallbearers include: Chris Albarado, Jerome Fayard Jr., Roy Ramagasse Jr., Vincent Blanchard, Bailey Albarado, and Gavin Guillot.
