Melvie R Coker

Celebration of life and going home graveside service for Ms. Coker, 73, will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Antioch Community Church Cemetery in Readhimer, LA at 2:00 PM with Reverend Olan McLaren officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, November 4, 2015 at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Ms. Coker was born April 6, 1943, in Winn Parish, LA, to Lois E. and Carmie E. Stewart Pratt and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2016, at her residence in Coushatta. She was a one of a kind loving, caring mom, grandma, and friend. Preceding her in death were her parents, sister, Elvie Hurt, and a grandchild, Cameran Whilhite. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, daughter, Teresa Watson of Castor, LA, son, Jeff Cheatwood and wife, Anita of Readhimer, LA, daughter, Tammy Barrett and husband, Mike of Tioga, LA, daughter, Sonya Coker of Graham, TX; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and special friend, Mike Brown of Jonesboro, LA. Serving as pallbearers were Larry Corley, Charlie Smith, Joey Milner, Dale Coker, Deno Pullig and Mark Beach. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Natchitoches, Donna Jones, Charlie Smith, Angie Brigman, and Lurinda Frulla for all the love and compassion shown to their loved one.
