A graveside service honoring the life of Melinda Ann Six will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor John Harp of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Melinda Ann Six was born September 4, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois and passed away peacefully, Friday, October 22, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Melinda was a graduate of Southwood High School and worked for many years in the health and fitness industry and at Fitness World in Shreveport. She also worked in the food and beverage industry. She was working for Heavenly Hams when she met her husband, Mark. She loved to read and have fun with her little pets. She especially loved to cook and was very good at it. She would always say "I choose joy" over her sickness. Melinda enjoyed the simple things in life and loved the Lord with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her father, Albert Kaufman II; brother, Andrian Lane; grandmother, Winifred Milliman; and grandfather, Everett Jordan.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 22 years, Mark A. Six of Shreveport, LA; mother; Linda Smith of Greenbriar, TN; son, Chris Martin of Bossier City, LA; daughter, Brandi Boatman of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Tamara Wallace of Shreveport, LA, Amber Neil of Washington, IL, and Angie Seriana of Greenbriar, TX; brothers, Albert "Buddy" Babcock of Ashland, TN and Adam Babcock of Long Beach, CA; two grandchildren, Braxton Drayer and Victoria Rugnao; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Melinda as pallbearers will be Mark Six, Chris Martin, Glenn Neil and Mike Correal.
