Melba T Lowe

Melba T. Lowe, 86, passed from this life on April 19, 2021, at Minden Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Toothman and Nila Godby, by her husband, Grover C. Lowe, and many family members and in-laws. Left to celebrate her life are her sister, Kathryn Crim, numerous family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will tell stories about her to the little ones who never had an opportunity to get to know her. Melba had a marvelous way of making people laugh. She was energetic, loud, and wonderfully entertaining. A modern pioneer woman, she loved the home she and Grover created. She loved mowing the grass, feeding stray animals that found their way to her house, buying multiple pairs of tennis shoes, listening to "Amazing Grace" performed on bagpipes and surprising people with her antics. The family would like to thank the staff of Town and Country Health and Rehab and Minden Medical Center for the care they provided Melba during this past year. Because of social distancing and Melba's desire to go quietly into the next life, no memorial is planned at this time.
