Celebrating the life and going home service for Melba Jean Williamson Giddings, 69, will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Pentecostals of Martin Church at 159 Kellogg Road, Coushatta, LA in the Martin community at 10:00 AM with Bro. Larry Sales officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
Melba was born on April 10, 1951 in Shreveport, LA to Johnnie and Bobbie Faye Williamson and met her Lord and Savior on January 19, 2021 in Alexandria, LA.
Melba graduated from Hall Summit High School in 1970 and in 2014, graduated from LSU-S with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies.
Preceding her in death was her father, Johnnie Ford Williamson; grandparents, Charlie and Vennie (Sanders) Williamson and Slyvester and Essie (Bamburg) Hall; and brother-in-law, Billy Carlin.
Melba was a prayer warrior and loved her family and church family very dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother, Bobbie Faye Williamson; four brothers, Johnny Williamson of Coushatta, LA, Jackie Williamson (Mary), Jimmy Williamson (Connie) of Martin, LA, and Jerry Williamson (Heather) of Coushatta, LA; sisters, Audrey Carlin of Hall Summit, LA, and Ramona Kellogg (Wayne) of Martin, LA.
Pallbearers are David Kellogg, Brian Kellogg, Samuel Williamson, Pierce Kellogg, James Hurst, Dale Spier, Jonathan Kellogg and Jacob Kellogg.
