Melba Medlin Colegrove

Melba Medlin Constable Colegrove, 82, of Perryville, Missouri died Monday, January 21, 2019 at Estates of Perryville. She was born April 4, 1936 in Grand Saline, Texas to Elmer and Lois Godwin McClain. She retired from LSU Medical Center as the office supervisor of the hospital\'s maintenance department. Survivors include her two sons, Ronald (Brenda) Medlin of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Rob (JoAnna) Medlin of Corinth, Texas; three daughters, Kathy (Steve) Prudhome of Corinth, Texas, Kelly (Robert) Gilcrease of Blanchard, Louisiana, and Jana (Greg) Wilson of Stonewall, Louisiana; two brothers, Herbert McClain and Dwight McClain; three sisters, Willie Bloxom, Wilma Miller, and Sharon Carter; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Karen Norris; three sisters, Joyce Linn, Dorothy McClain, Jane Briery; and one granddaughter, Stefanie Norris Nail. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the funeral home with the Pastor Roger Morton officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana.
