Obituary

Funeral services celebrating the life of Maureen Kelly, 98, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Pelican Baptist Church, 187 Commerce Street, Pelican, Louisiana, with Bro. Jimmy Price officiating. Burial will follow at Pelican Cemetery, Pelican, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Maureen was born November 21, 1927, in Pelican, Louisiana to Maye and Jack Fisher, Sr. and entered into rest Sunday, July 19, 2026. She loved working puzzles, watching QVC, gardening and caring for her flowers. She was a faithful member of Pelican Baptist Church until she was unable to attend due to illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.C. Kelly; sons, Pete Kelly and Marvin Kelly; stepson, Kenneth Dyess; grandson, Clay Kelly, and daughter-in-law, Sissy Kelly.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike Kelly (Kim), Lillian Lagars (Joe), and Linda Sepulvado (Ronnie); sister, Jeanne Branch; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Honoring Maureen as pallbearers will be Josh Kelly, Morey Labit, Glenn Wayne Kelly, Scott Kelly, Jason Sepulvado, Dylan Sepulvado, Cole Hubier, and Dillon Hubier. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Lagars, Ronnie Sepulvado, Johnnie Springer, Walt Salter, and Don Robertson.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Natchitoches Hospice, Mansfield Nursing Home and Niasha Pipkin, NP,  for the exceptional care, kindness, and comfort they provided. They also extend their sincere appreciation to Kim Jones, Tweety, Dana Freeman, Christine Allen, Darika, and Paula Greer for their love, support, prayers and friendship throughout this journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
