Mattie L Scales

Funeral services honoring the life of Mattie Adams Scales will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel with Reverend Larry Pridmore officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, LA.   Mattie was born December 16, 1933 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Jeter Calhoun Adams and Janie Verdue Bostick Adams and she entered into rest June 3, 2019. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wendell Allen Scales; sisters, Marion Elliott and Peggy James; mother and father in-law, Tommie and Nellie Scales. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Allen Scales and wife, Pam; daughter, Delores Scales Frazar and husband, John ; grandchildren, John David Frazar, Jr. and wife, Amy; Adam Frazar and wife, Laura; and Allison Hadder and husband, Zack; great-grandchildren, Alex Fayet, Ashton Frazar, and Evie Hadder.   Pallbearers for Mrs. Scales will be David Graves, Brandt Graves, Rick Elliott, Lloyd Holloway, Kenny Elliott, and Aaron Elliott.   Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Elliott and Bill Scoggins.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northside Baptist Church, 500 Highway 78E Jasper, AL 35501-Music Ministry.
