Mary Louise Wilson

Funeral services for Mary Louise Wilson, 88, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Sister Patti Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Rest Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the chapel. Mary was born January 6, 1930 in Honey Grove, TX and went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. She worked at South Central Bell for 40 years. She was a member of Grawood Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed listening to Elvis and traveling, especially to Hawaii or the mountains. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Myers and Vera Kilpatrick; brother, Bobby Ray Kilpatrick; and sisters, Helen Snell and Nada Sadler. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra Louise Bass and husband John; grandchildren, Kris Griffin and wife Christy, Kelly Griffin, John Bass, Jr., and Alan Bass and wife Lisa; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, James Kilpatrick and wife Ofelia and Sammy Kilpatrick and wife Barbara. Pallbearers will be Kris Griffin, Cody Griffin, Dalton Bass, and John Bass, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Joshua VanLaarhoven. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor South for their care.
