Her family worked a farm in Claiborne County, Mississippi where she graduated from Port Gibson High School. She met the love of her life, E. Leon Price, at Midway Church of Christ in Rocky Springs, Mississippi and they married on July 5, 1947. The early years of their marriage were spent working on the Price family farm. They were married for 70 years and were blessed with five children. Leon became a successful businessman, and he and Mary moved their family to Bossier City in 1969 where they established the successful business of Shreveport Mack Sales. They loved to travel and were active and faithful members of Airline Drive Church of Christ where they gave generously with love. Mary had a special devotion to the nursery and children\'s education wing of the church. She also cared deeply for people in difficult situations and silently saw to their needs.
