Mary Nell Loe White

Services honoring the life of Mrs. Mary Nell Loe White will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Rev. Danny Gleason will officiate the services.

Mary Nell was born on November 25, 1932, in Bryceland, Louisiana to Foster and Mary James Loe. She went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2026, at the age of 93. Mary Nell grew up in Bear Creek and graduated from Bryceland High School in 1950. She then went on to graduate from Louisiana Tech in 1953, with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her first job was teaching first grade at Line Avenue Elementary in Shreveport, LA. She met her husband L.E. White while teaching there.

Mary Nell is preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Mary James Loe, and by her husband Lloyd Earl White, sister Joan Loe Gleason and husband Ben, brothers James L. Loe and wife Robbie, and Fred Loe.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Colleen Webb, and Joni Brown and husband Steve, grandchildren; Michael, Tricia, Sean, Timothy, Christopher and wife Becky, Jacob and wife Anna, and Matthew and wife Sandy, great grandchildren; Nathan, Rebecca, Abigail, Daniel, Bear, Amelia, Foster, Ellie (and her brother on the way), Mary, Parker, Hannah, Layton, and Carter, and by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandsons; Michael Larey, Christopher Mahony, Jacob White, Nathan Mahony, Matthew Gammel, Sean Gammel, and Timothy Mahony.
