Mary Katherine Boswell

Katherine Boswell, 98, passed away on November 9, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Edwards; her brother, William Edwards, Jr.; her husband, J. Q. Boswell; and two daughters, Sharon Boswell and Janet Formby. She is survived by her son, J. Gary Boswell and wife, Patty; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Boswell will be remembered as a faithful Christian woman who was devoted to her family. She was also involved in church work as a children's Bible teacher, summer camp worker, church pianist and Women's Ministry leader. She loved people and was well-known as an encourager of others. She was a member of Westview Christian Church in Shreveport. Funeral services for Katherine will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Westview Christian Church, 7188 Greenwood Road in Shreveport. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Minister Jon Bailey. The family wants to thank Regional Hospice and The Guest House for their care.
