Mary Ann Higdon

Mary Ann Higdon was born March 27, 1931 to Genevive Holley and William Mapp in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was a faithful member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church of Shreveport, Louisiana. Mary retired from the Tourism Bureau of Louisiana after 10 years of faithful service. She was known for being family oriented and always putting her family before anything.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin Higdon; son, Dennis Wayne Higdon and brother, William Bryant Mapp Jr. Her memory is survived by her son, Gary Ross Higdon; grandson, Jamie Ross Higson; granddaughter, Keri Leigh Hjembo; great-grandson, Aiden Tyler Hjembo and great-granddaughter, Juliet Hjembo.
