Mary Henderson Jobe

Mary Henderson Jobe, 88, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2023. She was born on July 5, 1935, in Ringgold, Louisiana to James Robert Henderson and Ardell Matthews Henderson.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. Price Harris. Interment will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St Vincent Ave, Shreveport, LA 71103.

Mary was married to Dr. Andrew F. Jobe for 52 wonderful years. She worked for her husband as Pediatric Nurse for 50 years at Southside Children’s Clinic. Mary will be remembered as a lady who had a powerful personality.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henderson and Ardell Matthews; husband, Dr. Andrew F. Jobe; and brothers, James Henderson and Billy Henderson. Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Peggy Smith and husband Ted; son, Steve Jobe; grandchildren, Jason Hewitt, Mark Hewitt, Sarah Colgin, and Stephanie Bonacci.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Ted Smith, Brandon Smith, Jason Hewitt, Mark Hewitt, Steve Jobe, and Sonny Waters. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Price Harris Ministries Apt# 134 or The Glen 403 E Flournoy Lucas Rd, Shreveport, LA 71115.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Pam Vasher, Exie Neloms, Deshonda Wheeler, Shaunta Brown, Yolanda Taylor, and Ruthie McKnight as well as Genteva Hospice especially Marquita Hall and Brenda Williams.
