Mary Alice Fogleman

Mary Alice Fogleman, 88, of Stonewall, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Jay Burford.

Mary was born on March 20, 1938, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Frank Price and Zepher Ineaz Moreau Price.

She lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and a kind heart that touched everyone she met.

During the last year of her life, Mary devoted herself to caring for her daughter, Julianne “Julie” Kyle, offering unwavering love, comfort, and support throughout Julie’s illness. Caring for her daughter was a selfless act that reflected the compassion, sacrifice, and strength that defined Mary’s life. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved, always placing their needs before her own.

Mary also found great joy in arts and crafts. She loved creating with her hands, whether making gifts, decorating, or simply enjoying a new craft project. Her creativity brought happiness to her life and to those fortunate enough to receive something she had made.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elvin Fogleman, and her daughter, Julianne “Julie” Kyle.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lynn Fogleman and wife, Vanessa, and Brian Fogleman and wife, Rhonda; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Derek and wife, Payton, Dalton, and Dakota; her great-grandson, Liam; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Mary will be remembered for her resilience, gentle spirit, unwavering faith, creative heart, and unconditional love. She faced every challenge with grace, including her brief battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, creativity, and devotion to family that will continue for generations.

Though she will be deeply missed, those who loved her find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Elvin, and her cherished daughter, Julie.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Gentiva Hospice for the exceptional care, comfort, and dignity they provided to Mary during her final days. A very special thank you is extended to Mrs. Linda, whose loving presence, gentle spirit, and devoted care brought comfort not only to Mary but to our entire family. Her kindness, patience, and compassion will never be forgotten. The family is deeply grateful for the love and support shown by everyone who walked alongside Mary during her final journey.

Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Derek Fogleman, Dalton Fogleman, Dakota Fogleman, Jimmy Burson, Bubba Waldron, and Jamie Berringer.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Mary’s honor to the American Cancer Society or to Gentiva Hospice so that others may receive the same compassionate care and support that meant so much to our family.
