Mary Elizabeth Sandifer

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Corpier Sandifer, 77, will be held be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to until service time. Officiating the service will be Brother Buddy Hankins. Mary was born on April 28, 1944 to James Fred Corpier and Clara Elizabeth Wise Corpier in Wattenson, Arkansas and passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Shreveport. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved animals, especially her birds and loved her flowers. Roses were her favorite. She enjoyed the beauty of everything and shared her life stories with all who would listen. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Mathes Barbo; and husband of 39 years, Howard Sandifer. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Darrell Barbo and wife, Kathy; sisters, Janie Redding, Lucy Ethridge, Irma McDuff, Julia Cloud; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; along with extended family and friends.
