Mary Louise Davis was born on February 16, 1948 and passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the age of 75.
She had a vibrant personality and a love for life that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Mary enjoyed going to the beach every summer and cherished the family vacations. She adored her grandchildren, Michael Manno, Christian Manno, Avery Davis and Aubrey Davis, as well as her nieces and nephews. Mary and her husband, Joe Davis, shared a love for scuba diving and went on many adventurous vacations together. They were married for 47 wonderful years. Mary was a devoted wife and mother to her children, Tony, Julie and Chad Davis.
Mary found joy in serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She took pride in her work as a CISR account manager at Thomas and Farr Insurance, where she cared deeply for her customers and coworkers. In her free time, Mary loved tending to her garden and planting beautiful flowers that adorned her yard.
Mary’s life was filled with love from her family and friends. She faced her illness with a fighting spirit and never gave up. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Davis; her children, Tony Davis and wife, Karen, Julie Davis and Chad Davis and wife, Tiffany; grandchildren, Michael Manno, Christian Manno and wife, Mackenzie, Avery Davis and Aubrey Davis; sisters, Linda Sutton and Patricia Justus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Marjorie Justus; brother, Les Justus; uncle, Dick Wallace; aunt, Mary Wallace and her cousin, Mary Teresa Roberts.
Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be J.B. Emery, Jonathan Emery, Matt Graham, Jeff Justus, Christian Manno and Michael Manno. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brian Taylor and Tommy Manning.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Atlantic Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary being held at 6:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana on Monday, November 20, 2023. Burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Gabriel Cisneros Campos.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
