Funeral services for Mary Kathryn Daigle, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral. Interment will follow the service at Plain Dealing Cemetery, LA-157, Plain Dealing, Louisiana. Officiating will be Dr. David Brooks. Mary Kathryn was born to Jesse Thomas "JT" and Pearl Snyder on June 9, 1941 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana and passed away on December 22, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Mary Kathryn spent most of her life residing in Plain Dealing, Louisiana but more recently resided in Haughton, Louisiana. She graduated from Plain Dealing High School and attended Northwestern State University. She retired from the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office in 2012 after a 24-year career. Mary Kathryn cared deeply for those she befriended and assisted during her time at the District Attorney's Office. Mary Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen Snyder; brother, Larry Snyder; son, John Daigle, who continues to be dearly missed and loved by family and friends. She is survived by her brother, James Snyder and wife, Johnette; sister-in-law, Robin Snyder; son, Eric Daigle and wife, Marie; daughter, Karen Daigle Baird and husband, Gary; two grandsons who meant everything in life to her, Aiden John Baird and Louden Joseph Baird; nieces, nephews, and many others she considered family. The family wishes to give special thanks and recognition to Terri McDonald, who has been her constant friend for over 40 years and her caregiver during her illness. Ms. McDonald is also loved and appreciated for the care she gave to Mary Kathryn's son, John Daigle, during his terminal illness. Honoring Mary Kathryn as pallbearers will be Russell Snyder, George Ferguson, Gary Baird, and Joe Ezernack. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her two grandsons, Aiden Baird and Louden Baird. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials may be made to The Philadelphia Center, 202 Centenary Blvd., Shreveport, Louisiana 71104.
