HAYNESVILLE, LA: A graveside service was held for Mrs. Mary Louise Bagley Butts, 94, at Lebanon Cemetery near Haynesville, LA, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 10:00 A.M., with Rev. Tim Pruitt, officiating. The family received friends on Thursday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Homer from 6-8 P.M. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Evening Light Tabernacle, 17500 Hwy 371 in Minden, LA on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. Everyone is invited to join with the family in remembering her life. Mrs. Butts was born March 18, 1924, in Thomasville, AL, to David C. and Francis J. Nelson Bagley. She entered into rest on Monday, February 4, 2019, in Haynesville, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome L. Butts; a son, Kenneth Butts; two sisters, Ruby Newton and her twin, Lela Rivers; 4 brothers, Lonnie Bagley, Elmer Bagley, Leonard Bagley, and David Edward Bagley; a granddaughter, Amanda Butts; and a great-granddaughter, Haley Hawkins She is survived by her five sons, Jerome Butts and wife Linda of Haynesville, LA, Ronnie Butts and Tilda of Ocilla, GA, John Butts and Mary of Talking Rock, GA, Rodney Butts of Tulsa, OK, and Tim Butts and Nancy of Anniston, AL; two daughters, Karen Pruitt and Tim of Haynesville, LA, and Dennette Pruitt and Dan of Haynesville, LA; 24 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; a great, great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jerome Butts, Ronnie Butts, John Butts, Rodney Butts, Tim Butts, and Dan Pruitt. In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Butts, her family suggests memorials be made to Evening Light Tabernacle.
