Mary Louise Boone

Mary Louise Boone was reunited with her daughters, her parents, her grandparents, and her siblings on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Rose-Neath Bossier on Friday, from 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. Louise was born on September 4, 1939 in Mansfield, Louisiana, to DeWitt and Nettie Brasher. Louise was raised by her grandparents Edwin and Armadilla Booth. She graduated from Mansfield High School. She married Robert G. Boone on May 30, 1959, in St. Augustine, Texas. Together they raised three children: Bobby Boone, Rhonda Boone Sellers, and Melanie Boone Williamson. Louise was, for many years, a faithful employee of the Shreveport accounting firm of Burke, Wilson & Stephens. She was an active member of Waller Baptist Church in Bossier City for many years, and upon moving to Lafayette, Louisiana, she attended the First Baptist Church of Lafayette. She had a big heart and an even bigger personality with a hearty laugh that filled any room she entered. Despite numerous personal losses and tragedies, she was a resilient, faithful believer who embraced everyone in her orbit with humor and loving kindness. She was a harbor in every storm, a rock her extended family could always count on. She was full of life to the very end and never let a day go by without telling someone, sometimes everyone, in her sphere of family and friends that she loved and prayed for them. She is survived by her husband, Robert; and son, Bobby Boone and wife Iris of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jason Boone and wife Ashley, Brigitte Boone Hawsey and husband Brian, Justin Boone and wife Aimee; nine great-grandchildren, brothers, David Brasher and wife Cindy, and Gerald Brasher and wife Billie, brother-in-law Willie Jenkins, sisters-in-law Sandra Wiggins, and Beverly Boone; son-in-law, Kevin Williamson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded her in death by her parents, grandparents, and daughters, Rhonda Boone Sellers and Melanie Boone Williamson; son-in-law, Mark Sellers; her siblings, Teddy Glen Brasher and his wife Mary, Edwin (Bo) Brasher and his wife Helen, William Roy Brasher, Bobbie Fran Brasher Oliva, and Mildred Brasher Jenkins and sister-in-law, Gloria Well Dicky.
