Mary Bishop Bellar

Funeral service for Mary Bishop Bellar will be held on Monday, November 26^th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Chaplin Dave McKinney of Regional Hospice will be officiating. Interment will follow services at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Winn Parish. Mary was born in Garrs Mill, LA on December 13, 1938. She is preceded in death by her father, H.P. Bishop; mother, Esther Kelly Bishop and three brothers, Edgar, JJ, and Kelly Bishop. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Sheila Hendricks; three grandchildren, Micheal Hunter Hendricks of Dallas, Texas; Will Hendricks and Chandler Hendricks of Austin, Texas and two nieces of Shreveport, LA, Angela Bishop Young and Suzanne Bishop Little. Mary graduated from Dodson High school and earned her master's in Elementary Education from The Northwestern University in Natchitoches, Louisiana . She taught elementary school in Houston, Texas for 35 years and later retired as a school teacher. Special thanks to Willis-Knighton Behavioral Medicine, Willis-Knighton North Hospital, The Guest House Staff and Regional Hospice. Mary passed away November 22, 2018 following a lengthy illness.
