Mary Alice Vandiver

Funeral services for Mary Alice Vandiver, 84, will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Rose-Neath Chapel, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m. An internment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mary was born June 7, 1939 to William Marion Vandiver and Katherine Tiller in Langley Field, Virginia and passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bossier City, Louisiana, and a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Shreveport, Louisiana. Mary retired from Oshner LSU Health after a long career in radiology.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Sanford, Major U.S. Army Retired and William Marion Vandiver, II; niece, Kathleen Vandiver Crowley and nephew, Aaron J. Vandiver. Her memory is survived by her lifelong best friend, Lois Hibbs; two nieces, Cynthia Vandiver Alford and husband, Jeff and Amy Lynn Vandiver Power and Jeff and sister-in-law, Patricia Kelly Vandiver.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2565 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana.
