Martha Fletcher Wilt

Memorial services for Martha Fletcher Longino Wilt, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Christ United Methodist Church, Shreveport, LA. with Rev. Willis Dear officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA. Martha was born April 16, 1937 in El Paso, TX and went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana. A southern lady in the best sense of the term, Martha was gracious, kind, and loved spending time with her family and her cats Mack and KiKi. She enjoyed her professional years working at Centenary College and AT&T / Western Electric. Martha was officially a mother of two sons but unofficially a second mom to many. She made time for long talks with friends and family, usually dispensing a mixture of love and tough love as needed. She was quick with a smile, a hug and an "I love you." She will be missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings and other family and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her father, Burton Fletcher; mother, Ruth Lelong and step-father Camille; Waymon Longino, the father of her children; and husband, William Wilt. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jamie Longino and wife Gina, Kevin Longino and wife Mary McDowell; grandchildren, Benjamin Smith, Mary Longino Barton and husband Paul, Samuel Longino; sisters, Ginni Sears and husband Ken and Yvonne Bordelon; and brother, Paul Lelong and wife Lori. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Daniel Moller, Dr. Randall White and staff at DCI, Dr. Scott McRight, Dr. Iqbal Singh, WK Pierremont Step Down staff, Aime Hospice Staff, Sandie McBee, and Debbie Methvien.
