Celebration of life services for Mrs. Martha L. McClung Smith 83, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Bossier Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana. Mrs. Smith was born December 8, 1936 in Minden, LA to Gladys and Alvin Miller. She passed away on March 5, 2020 in Burleson, TX after fighting many lengthy illnesses including COPD, Parkinson's and Dementia. Martha was a graduate of Minden High School. She retired with AAFES after 25 years from Barksdale Air Force Base. She took pride in her job as a Secretary and Vending Supervisor and loved what she did until retirement. Martha loved bird watching and trying to guess their names, and she always enjoyed painting. Most of all she was a loving Mother, Nana, Aunt Martha, and Bashy Boo, her family was her everything. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two husbands, Terry Joe McClung and Billy G. Smith; and her parents. She is survived by her two children who meant everything to her, Ricky Joe McClung and fiancé Betty Humphries Guillory of Pineville, LA, and Pamela Ann Brooks and husband Chris Brooks, Sr. of Burleson, TX; three grandchildren whom she adored, Amanda Brooks, Christopher Brooks, Jr., Randall Brooks all from Texas; her two "adopted" grandchildren that loved their "Nana" , Jake and James Brooks, sons of Robin Brooks and Kathryn Brooks of Celina, TX; two sisters, Louise Keisker and husband Larry of Lees Summit, MO and Marie Weaver of Kissimmee, FL; nieces and nephews, Sonya Taylor and husband Todd Angela Walker, Sonny Thielbar and wife Dana, Tina Carver and Patricia Burlingane; a host of adoring cousins; and last but not least, her beloved fur baby, "Corky". Marthas family would like to thank the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice of Fort Worth who were all very loving and kind to her and all of her family.
