Martha "Ann" Siskron Shahine passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 after a valiant battle with COPD. Ann was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Fredric Thomas Siskron Jr. and Annie Neal Campbell Siskron.
She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and attended Centenary College of Louisiana. Ann was a very talented artist and a published poet. She loved children, especially babies and all animals , especially cats and the ducks that she saw outside in the pond behind her home. Angels were often a theme of her work. She will be remembered for her generosity, love of crossword and jigsaw puzzles, drawing and coloring. She loved food and was an excellent cook, especially with family recipes handed down.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brother, William Lawrence Siskron of Houston, TX and sister, Laura Siskron Lassi of Garland, TX.
She is survived by her brothers, Dr. F. Thomas Siskron, III and David Walter Siskron; sons, Jeffery Thomas Johnson of Los Angeles, CA and William Merritt Johnson of New York, NY and grandsons, Harry Sloan Johnson-Weinberg and Jasper Woodrow Johnson-Weinberg.
A small graveside memorial officiated by Frank Gunn of Broadmoor Baptist will be held for Ann at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent.
