Funeral services for Martha Lee Adams, 80, will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Round Grove Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held from 11:00 until the time of the service on Saturday. Officiating the service will be Pastor Lacy Houston.
Martha was born on August 25, 1946, in Campti, Louisiana to John Williams and Cleo Juanita St. Andry-Williams and passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Martha was a resident of Shreveport. She graduated from Fair Park High School and later received her CNA Certification. She worked at Schumpert Hospital, Southern Plastics Inc., Tackle Bait Shop, and Pilgrim Manor Skilled Nursing & Rehab. She loved her family dearly and was always the comedian and the life of the party. She loved flowers and had a soft spot in her heart for animals.
She is preceded in death by her mother, "Nan," her father, John Williams, stepfather John Collum; mother-in-law, Charlie Houston, father-in-law, Levi Houston; sisters-in-law, Joyce Houston, Rose Houston, Sylvia Houston, Ella Johnson; and brother-in-law, George Houston.
Left to cherish her memory is her spouse, James Houston, Sr.; daughters, Renee Hughes and her husband, Donald, Lisa Gregory and her husband, Beau; and son, James Houston, Jr. and his wife, Ashanti; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Martha as pallbearers will be Rodney Johnson, Robert Johnson, Lazarus Houston, Eric Stampley, Adam Stampley, and Peter Schilling.
Martha will be greatly missed, but we will love and cherish her memory forever.
