Services for Marshall “Beau” Scott Reddy, Jr., will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Britt Gunn.
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, Marshall “Beau” Scott Reddy, Jr., of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away tragically and unexpectedly at the young age of 27. Beau was a loving husband, brother, son, grandson, and friend.
Beau was born on July 21, 1998, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Nicole Long Reddy and Marshall Scott Reddy, Sr. He graduated from Northwood High School in 2016, where he met his wife. He attended Texas State Technical College for training as an electrical line worker. Beau was an apprentice lineman for AEP SWEPCO. One of his proudest accomplishments was his career and service to his local community.
In his free time, Beau enjoyed building and restoring cars with family and friends. He made a public profession of faith and was baptized at age nine at First Baptist Blanchard. The family treasures the memories of Bulldog Football, Byrd Baseball, Northwood Football, mud riding, camping, and family trips to Arkansas and the beach.
Beau was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Ed and Grace McCaleb; his grandfather, his beloved “Pawpaw” Huey P. Long, Jr.; and his aunt, Shirley Lautigar.
Beau is survived by his wife, Maelena Reddy. They were married on August 20, 2022, and had been together since 2015. He is also survived by his parents, Marshall Reddy, Sr., and Nicole Long Reddy; brother, Carson Pierce Reddy, and girlfriend, Kennedy Stanley; maternal grandmother, Ellie Long Hannigan, and bonus grandfather, Mike Hannigan; paternal grandmother, Nancie Reddy; father-in-law, Jimmy Thompson; and mother-in-law, Kandi Mauldin, and husband, Danny. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bubba Thompson, and wife, Mika; sisters-in-law, Maddie Fuller and husband, Jeff, and Melody Thompson; uncle, Ron Lautigar; uncle, Grady Reddy, and wife, Anita; aunt, Angel Mitchell, and husband, Andrew; as well as Beau and Maelena’s nieces and nephews: Jayden, Abbigail, Knightin, Natalie, Kort, and Kynlee. Additional surviving family includes cousins, Krista, Christine, Alexandra, Connor, and Jake; bonus uncles, Ryan Hannigan and wife, Ashlee, and Austin Hannigan and wife, Katy; extended family cousins, Kamryn, Cali, Kelsa, Elijah, Isiaah, Lucy, and Kalix. Beau is also survived by many dear friends, including Collin Whitmer and wife, Drewscilla; Zach Miller and wife, Natalie; and Garret Derocher.
Beau will be remembered as a compassionate individual who lit up every room he walked into. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel extraordinary, truly reflecting his kind spirit and his heart to be a friend to all. Beau is, and forever will be, our sunshine.
