Mark Louis Trainer

A Memorial service for Mark Louis Trainer, 60, will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana, at 11:00 a.m.

Mark Trainer was born on June 19, 1963, in Puerto Rico to Paul Trainer and Mary Hamill Trainer and passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Geneva Illinois.

Mark spent his childhood growing up in Louisiana, growing a passion for playing piano and learning the Commodore 64, an 8-bit home computer. After completing high school, he enrolled at Louisiana State University where he worked as an assistant grader for the Data Structures programs. He graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science in 1988. Through his programming career, Mark worked as a consultant for many different institutions including the British Consulate and the American Medical Association, ultimately specializing in banking software. He worked for Wachovia Securities, Wells Fargo, and JPMorgan Chase for a combined twenty years.

Mark loved writing, composing music, and discussing ideas. He is well remembered for enjoying in-depth discussions of strategic missile defense, World of Warcraft party composition, and the best pan for cooking cinnamon rolls.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Hamill Trainer. He is survived by his father, Paul Trainer; son, Michael Trainer; sister, Tammy Trainer Brown and husband, Chris; and the mother of his child, Susan Trainer.

Honoring Mark as pallbearers will be Frank Mastrilli, Ed Martin, Robert Della-Pietra and Ronnie Bowers.
