Mark Louis Bostwick, lovingly known as “Grubbs,” was a man of grit, loyalty, and deep devotion. He came from a large family where cousins were more like brothers and sisters, and that sense of closeness stayed with him throughout his life.
Mark proudly served in the United States Army as a tank operator, a role that sparked his lifelong love for heavy machinery. That passion followed him into civilian life, where he worked as a supervisor, hands-on and hardworking, always surrounded by the machines he understood so well.
He married twice, and from those unions came children he adored. His love for family ran deep; he was patriotic to his core, but if he loved anything more than his country, it was his mother. Hali Grace, his granddaughter, came in a close second, lighting up his world in ways only she could.
Mark’s life was marked by service, strength, and a quiet kind of tenderness. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his work ethic, and the way he loved, with everything he had.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gary D. Bostwick; grandparents, Curley and Hazel Bernard; the love of his life, Christy Caraway; and brother, Michael Wren Bostwick. Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Linda Bernard Collins; daughter, Brianne Zimmerman, and husband, Ryan; son, Michael Joseph Bostwick; granddaughter, Hali Grace Zimmerman; and Paul Taylor, along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Honoring Mark as pallbearers will be Paul Taylor, Clifford Layman, Patrick Bernard, Adam Bernard, Brian White, and Buddy Rowell. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Zimmerman, Codi Bernard, Stephen Bernard, and Caleb Lemons.
