Marjorie "Margie" Jean Worley was born on November 4, 1938 to Will Ellis Worley and Ethel Scott Worley in Houston, Texas and went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. A long-term resident of Shreveport, Ms. Worley graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA in 1961. Upon graduation, she became a PE teacher and coach, spending many years at both St. Vincent\'s and Captain Shreve High School. Following her teaching career, she spent 23 years in administration at the LSU Medical Center prior to her retirement. Margie enjoyed most outdoor sports such as softball and golf, but her love and mastery of fishing led her to Toledo Bend often. Ms. Worley was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Ethel Worley and her sister, Maxine Worley Smith. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Smith of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Curtis Smith of Round Rock, Texas; niece, Sherry Smith Bryant and husband, Thomas of Plano, Texas; cousins, Gayle Scott Barnett of Houston, Texas and Gloria Scott of San Antonio, Texas; great-nieces, Katie Smith and Brandi Bryant and great-nephew, Blake Bryant. She is also survived by her life-long friend Carolyn Masson of Bossier City, Louisiana and her children, Susan Masson St. Pierre and Stephen Masson. The family is planning on a small memorial service for family and close friends at the Bloom of Bossier Chapel at 1:30pm on Friday, February 26, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org.
