Marianne Lee Rivers passed away on December 26, 2021 in Plano, TX after 91 beautiful, amazing years. She was born November 10, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK to Carl Dickie Lee and Irene (Magers) Lee. She was a very proud mother and homemaker until her children were grown, and then enjoyed 26 years with the Caddo Parish School Board as a bus aid for special needs children. She went out of her way to ensure those children felt loved in her presence just as she did with her own children. Marianne was a member of the Summer Grove Methodist Church and volunteered in various areas of need at the church as well as for Meals on Wheels. She is remembered for her positive disposition, sense of humor, and her sweet endearing smile. Marianne was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother of 7, and great grandmother of 7. She is survived by her children, Mike West and wife, Diane of Chandler, AZ, Carlene Latham and husband, Terry of Plano, TX, Mark Rivers and wife, Sheila of Bossier City, LA, and Terri Holley of Flower Mound, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Hope Rivers; son, Perry Lee Rivers; her parents; her brother, Carl D. Lee Jr.; and sister-in-law, Anne. A memorial service to celebrate Marianne's life will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA with Rev. "Big" Mark Rivers officiating. Honorary pallbearers - Grandchildren: Sean Rainer, Michael West, Nicole Mayhew, Bryan West, Brittany Rivers, Dustin Holley, and Chase Rivers.
