BLANCHARD, LA - On Saturday, November 18, 2017, Marguerite Ann Bostwick, better known as Marge, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 91 years old.
Marge is preceded in death by husband, Ralph Clarence "Dick" Bostwick, father, Ellis Andrew Ladner, mother, Dolores Ann Robinson, and brother, Wayne Edwin Ladner.
Marge is survived by her sister, Regina Rae Tingle of Shreveport, Louisiana, niece, Julie Ann Tingle of Blanchard, Louisiana, and nephew, Charles Chris topher Tingle and his wife Candace of Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Marge was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on April 17, 1926. In 1944, she graduated from Vivian High School in Vivian, LA, and immediately enlisted in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. Marge and her family set tled in Blanchard, Louisiana in 1945. Marge married Ralph Clarence "Dick" Bostwick on November 4, 1950 at the Blanchard Baptist Church. For many years, Marge worked for the United States Postal Service in Blanchard and was well known in the community for taking care of the mail. She would eventually retire from the Postal Service.
Marge received Jesus as her Lord and Savior on April 6, 1970. She led her husband to Jesus on January 12, 1984, thirteen years prior to his death on March 31, 2007.
Marge is perhaps best known for her dedication to the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus. She was an active member of Church on the Rock in Shreveport, Louisiana. Marge conducted weekly bible study in her home, and was enthusiastically engaged in spreading the gospel to inmates through her prison ministry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Family member, Brother John Nations of White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas, will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Marge will be laid to rest at Blanchard Memorial Cemetery.
