Margie Lea Hursh

Margie Hursh 84 a beloved sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully passed from this earth to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in her heavenly home on Friday March 12, 2021. Margie will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora Louisiana, at the feet of her beloved parents at a later date. Margie Lea was born on Saturday, July 18th, 1936, being the youngest of 9 children born to Levi Theadore and Blanche (Pruitt) Hillman in Kisatchie, Louisiana where she grew up with her brothers Everett, Ray, William, Leroy, Bill, JT; sisters Mabel Williams, Rena Matthews and Opal Denio. She graduated in Kisatchie's class of "1954". Margie had an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life began and ended on the wings of miracles and the back of hard times. She had a giving heart, a serving nature and dearly loved her family. She was a wonderful soul. She was genuine, kind and always humble. She asked for nothing and was grateful for everything. She was always generous and never boastful. She never judged and was never prideful. She loved to fish, read, cook, and enjoyed conversation, good food, and playing table games. Margie set forth her family in marriage to Herbert "Lucky" Brown with 3 children Janet (Brown) Dockens, Leonard Brown and Renee Brown. 8 grandchildren Joel Burns, Jason Anderson, David, Michael and Mark Brown, Janee, Janet and Jeremiah Brown. 9 Great grandchildren Marrisa Gordy, Maisey Burns, Haven and David Brown, Skylar and Treston Brown, Eli Brown, Zackary Livingston, Layla Brown,. She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her as she joins those who wait for us with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
