Funeral services for Margery Ann Mitchell, 87, will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will take place on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Chester Coffman. The caring staff at Rose-Neath Southside will assist the family during this difficult time.
 
 Margery, also known as Margie, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Elizabeth, Louisiana to her late parents, Orville Hutchinson and Mary Thelma Hutchinson Roach. Margery was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
 
 Margery was a loving and compassionate woman who touched the lives of those around her. She was known for her kindness, protection, and strength. Her extraordinary intuition and mindful nature were admired by all who knew her. Margery’s warm and caring personality made her a pillar of support for her loved ones.
 
 In her career, Margery worked at Skytop Brewster Co., BPS, and Doctors Weight Loss Clinic. She was dedicated to her work and made a positive impact on those she served.
 
 Margery found solace and spiritual fulfillment in her faith. She worshipped at Northwood Baptist Church, Trinity Heights Baptist Church, and Emmaus Baptist Church. Her religious beliefs were an important part of her life.
 
 In her free time, Margery cherished moments spent with her family. She loved traveling, reading mystery novels, and enjoying the beauty of nature by going to the lake and camping. She also had a passion for sports and enjoyed watching games.
 
 Margery leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children, Harlan K. Mitchell, Jr. (Ken) and wife, Anita, William A. Mitchell, Richard W. Mitchell (Rick) and wife, Donna, Patrick E. Mitchell (Pat) and wife, Eva, as well as her grandchildren: Timothy Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell, Brooke Mitchell-Spedale, Zackary Mitchell, Karee Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, Austin Mitchell, and Haleigh Mitchell. She also had great-grandchildren: Colin Mitchell, Harlan Mitchell, Montana Mitchell, Matthew Spedale, Branson Mitchell, Salem Mitchell, Georgia Inman, and Harleigh Mitchell.
 
 Margery was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harlan K. Mitchell (Mitch); her father, Orville Hutchinson; her mother, Mary Thelma Hutchinson Roach; and her brother, William Hutchinson.
 
 Margery’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her loving nature, strength, and the impact she had on the lives she touched.
