A graveside service honoring the life of Margarett Glendon Jimmerson Kirkham will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Glendon was born on January 2, 1944, in Arcadia, Louisiana to Lester Glenn and Glennie Anderson Jimmerson. She passed away on DAY, in Arcadia, Louisiana.
Glendon was an Elvis fan with an extensive collection of memorabilia. She spent many nights at the Whispering Pines in Ringgold, where she collected numerous autographs from the musicians that would play there. Glendon loved watching sports, whether it be football, basketball, or even baseball, but she especially liked watching LSU and and the Dallas Cowboys. She worked for many years at ConAgra on the line, and then as a security guard. Glendon had a servant’s heart. She would visit the nursing homes and make sure that the residents that wanted to go to church made it. She was quick with a smile and a “Well, hello there.” Glendon was truly a one-of-a-kind person.
Glendon is preceded by her parents Glenn and Glennie Jimmerson, brother Tommy Lee Jimmerson, and sister Bonnie Jimmerson Brewer and husband Claude.
Left to cherish her memory are her niece Sherly Humphrey and husband Terry, nephew Harold Glen Carr and wife Sue, great nieces and nephews, Carla, Toby, Tana, Joey, and Brandon, and by many great-great nieces and nephews.
