Funeral services for Martha P. Thornton will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Pastor Kathy Waffer and Rev. Bubba Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Minden, September 26, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Martha was born January 3, 1934, in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest September 23, 2022, in Homer, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Thornton.

She is survived by her sons, Dale Thornton and wife Rhonda and Richard Terry Thornton; daughters, Deborah Hilton and Cynthia Bright; sisters, Nelwyn Smith and Janie Byam; grandchildren, Jason Storey, Gabrielle Storey, Byron Dale Thomas, Terry James Thomas, George William Thornton, Jeremy Richard Thornton, and Cole James Thornton; and eight great-grandchildren.
