Margaret Jane Morgan

Margaret was born March 1, 1922 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She passed from this life on January 24, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was married to Paul H. Morgan, Sr., who preceded her in death. Together they ran businesses in south Shreveport. However, the one for which she was most passionate was her cosmetic studio. Also preceded her in death was her father, A.L. Murrell; mother, Myrtle Brown Murrell; and one brother. She attended Broadmoor Baptist Church and was active in her Sunday school class for as long as her health allowed. Margaret is survived by her four stepchildren. She is also survived by her caregivers who grew to be family as well as friends. Among those caregivers are Tenise Jackson, Robbie Moreau, Floye Rains, and the great staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and WK Hospice. Both have shown great compassion for which we are grateful. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Rose-Neath Southside followed by graveside services at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery. Services will be led by Rev. Henry Martin.
